6 Steps to Installing a Shower Arm Flange
If you are looking to install a new shower arm with flange in your bathroom, here are a few steps to help your installation go smoother.
Shut off the water – Stop the water supply to the bathroom.
Remove the old showerhead – To remove it, use a wrench to turn it counterclockwise.
Tape it up: Teflon tape is a good choice for wrapping around each side or end of the shower arm.
Attach new flange – Put our new stainless steel flange around the shower arm you just taped.
Install shower arm to the wall surround – Turn it clockwise until it's fully tightened with a wrench.
Reattach showerhead -Turn it clockwise while tightening with the wrench. Ensure you attach it straight on and tighten it thoroughly to avoid leaks.
After you restore the water supply, check to see if there are any leaks around the showerhead and flange.
If you discover any leaks, go back through the procedures one by one to double-check that you've tightened everything as you go along.
The escutcheon chrome finish makes your shower look and feel like a true luxury. It can be used to cover up any ugly pipes and protect against water rings or soap build-up on their surface.
With this pack of 2, use one shower arm escutcheon in each bathroom, or keep a spare on hand
